This project continues the research started in Praesentia, exploring now Roman and Gothic Architecture as the most efficient light machine and as a sensory apparatus that sometimes reminds me also of the XIXth cameras obscuras.

It also speaks to my background in Art history, inspired mostly by the use of light in the paintings of Caravaggio and José Ribera.

Romanika trabaja los mismo límites que Praesentia y se interesa por la arquitectura Románica y Gótica como máquina de luz, como aparato de experiencia sensorial en si mismo, casi como si fuera una cámara fotográfica en sí misma.

La experiencia de la luz en la historia del arte, así como en especial la obra de Caravaggio son la principal fuente de inspiración para este proyecto.
